If you are one of the millions like me who are unsatisfied with your appearance, but feel that cosmetic surgery is not an option due to the overwhelming cost of the procedure, here are a few facts that may help.

Prices for face lift surgery may vary depending on the technique used and the extent of the procedure. In general a minor face lift will cost $5000 to $7000, while more extensive work can approach $15000. For an individualized breakdown of face lift prices it is always best to speak with a surgeon in your area and discuss specific courses of treatment.

The American Society of Aesthetics Plastic Surgery found that face lift surgery is more expensive in the New England states, followed by the Mountain and Pacific states. The facility at which the surgery is performed can also affect the cost of a face lift. Many surgeons operate from a surgical suite or are affiliated with an outpatient surgery center.

The less invasive the surgery the lower the cost, for example the MACS (Minimal Access Cranial Suspension) face lift or the mini face lift are significantly less expensive than the Standard face lift or the Mid face lift with a difference of $3500 to $7500.

Health care insurance for face lift surgery may cover the cost of the procedure if the face lift surgery is needed as result of an injury causing facial deformities or defects. Usually cosmetic surgery is not covered by health insurance and is the responsibility of the patient.

Financing your face lift surgery may also be a favorable option. Usually financing for cosmetic procedures may be available through your bank. It is always best to research all financing options before making your final decision.
